Sea Turtles
Green sea turtles are the world’s largest species of hard-shelled sea turtle. They spend most of their lives underwater, where they can rest for up to five hours at a time before coming up for air.
Dugong
Dugongs are cousins of manatees and share a similar plump appearance, but have a dolphin fluke-like tail. They are the only herbivorous marine mammals. A single adult dugong can grow up to three meters, weigh up to 500 kilograms and live for 70 years.
Shark
As the apex predator, sharks can rouse fear and awe like no other creature in the sea. They bite people out of curiosity, to defend themselves from a perceived threat, or because they confuse a human with prey.
Great
Barracuda
Great barracudas are among some of the fastest fish in the sea. The long and thin body of the barracuda is designed for speed, and their top speed has been estimated at 58 kph, earning them formidable predators of the sea.
Coral reefs
Because of the diversity of life found in the habitats created by corals, reefs are often called the "rainforests of the sea". Fishes and other organisms shelter, find food, reproduce, and rear their young in the many nooks and crannies formed by corals.
Stingray
Commonly found in the shallow coastal waters in the temperate seas, they spend the majority of their time inactive, partially buried in sand, often moving only with the sway of the tide.
